Hoot Crawford is active in local, state, and national bar associations. He is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Criminal Law Division of the American Bar Association. He is a Florida Delegate to the National College of DUI Defense, which is held each year in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is also a member of the Florida State Bar Association and the Bay County Bar Association.

Hoot Crawford is also involved in community and volunteer work. He is the Vice President of the Bay Arts Alliance and serves as a Guardian Ad Litem in the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit. In 2000, Hoot Crawford received an award from the Florida Supreme Court recognizing his pro bono work in the Fourteenth Judicial District.

Joe. E. Turner was born and raised in Pensacola, Fl. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Administration from the University of West Florida in 2002. Mr. Turner attended Florida Coastal School of Law where he was awarded his Juris Doctorate. While in law school, he was a member of the Mock Trial Team, the Moot Court team and served an internship at the Public Defender's office in the 4th Judicial Circuit.

Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Turner began his practice of law with Hoot Crawford, P.A. where he focuses on criminal defense, DUI, and traffic offenses. Mr. Turner is active in the local legal community as the July 2006 - June 2007 co-chairman for the First Saturday Legal Clinic, a member of the Bay County Bar Association and member of the local Inns of Court. On the State level Mr. Turner is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Florida Bar Association. On a national level he is a member of the Nation College of DUI Defense and the American Bar Association.
